A resident of Pittsburgh for more than 30 years, I welcomed the year-long assignment to photograph the city for my book,“Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: A Photographic Portrait,” viewing it as an opportunity to see parts of Pittsburgh and its surroundings that I may have never had the chance to experience before. As a result, the book allows readers to view the dynamic beauty and unique qualities of Pittsburgh through my eyes.
